The purple color in plants results from painstaking genetic selection and is often boosted by growing conditions, such as cooler temperatures that trigger the production of anthocyanin, the same pigment that gives blueberries their color. However, the allure of purple plants goes beyond its vibrant hues. These plants also offer unique flavors and effects, so let's take a look at our Top 10 Best Purple Seeds that will conquer the hearts and palates of plants connoisseurs.

Strawberry Pie Auto

Opening our Top 10 Best Purple Seeds list is the award-winning Strawberry Pie Auto. This seed is perfect for Sea of Green setups due to its typically short and squat structure as as well as its abundant returns even in smaller 2.5L pots.

This auto displays beautiful pinkish hues in late flower and emits an aroma of diesel and fruit, with just a pinch of creamy flavors. The smoke is a great choice for an afternoon session, especially when you need some peaceful "me" time. The well-rounded high will keep you alert, while deeply relaxing your entire body from head to toe.

Strawberry Pie has a beautiful Ind structure and is incredibly resilient. I grew her once in the winter on the balcony and she still performed great. She can use some light defoliation to expose some lower bud sights and also performs great with higher doses of nutrients. - Sebastian Goode

Cherry Cola Auto

The next entry on our list is one of the strongest auto releases of 2022 and a favorite of Sebastian and many other auto growers. Cherry Cola Auto delivers flavorful potency with up to 29.936% and the exact taste of a delicious fruity soft drink with a fizzy background.

This Ind-Sat hyb offers the best of both worlds, which can be seen in its lush and strong side branching, its rapid rate of growth – as it almost doubles in size during the pre-flower stretch – and its effects, which start with a joyful, euphoric high and become more and more sedating as you keep smoking. It’s hard to find a seed that offers the benefits of both ends of the genetic spectrum as perfectly as Cherry Cola Auto.

LSD-25 Auto

One of the most popular seeds in Fast Buds' history, LSD-25 Auto not only ages like wine but also smells like it, thanks to its intoxicating mix of berry, woody, and earthy aromas.

LSD-25 is the favorite seed of the Fast Buds team. The smell is so complex that you won't stop inhaling and guessing its varied notes, and the high goes straight to the head with a wonderfully stoned feeling. The cured buds have beautiful colors and flavors, and after just a few tokes, you’ll feel their potent effects. Despite being one of our first releases, this seed continues to gain popularity due to its ease of cultivation, stunningly beautiful dark-purple buds, and mind-bending effects that’ll transport you to another dimension!

Purple Punch Auto

A Cali sensation in auto form, Purple Punch Auto smells amazing and tastes even better, as it delivers the super sweet flavorene mix of blueberry and freshly baked muffins. This is what made the photoperiod original so popular, and its auto offspring is just as good but much faster – it finishes in as little as 9 weeks.

Purple Punch Auto's buds are an eye candy with their mix of dark-green and light-purple hues, and with up to 24% strength, they offer effects that punch you right between the eyes. This mellow, clear-headed high makes you surprisingly stoned and super happy.

Gorilla Punch Auto

Another champion that keeps filling our trophey cabinet with more and more prizes! Gorilla Punch Auto is the winner of the Auto World Cup 2022 and American Auto Cup 2023. It fuses quality and quantity into one high-returning purple plant that produces up to 26% strength in 8-9 weeks.

This plant's unique smell alone sets her apart from other auto seeds thanks to her sweet, skunky, and diesel flavors. She’s a real pleasure to grow, even in challenging climates where you would expect issues like powdery mildew or nutrient deficiencies – Gorilla Punch Auto will push through all obstacles. Beginner consumers beware: this is an extremely potent seed that will get you in an overall happy, no-worries state but will leave you severely couch-locked if you don’t have a high enough tolerance.

Blackberry Auto

Our first award winner and still one of our most popular autos to date, Blackberry Auto is breathtakingly beautiful, boasting really dark purple buds with pinkish hues that never cease to amaze us. This seed smokes amazingly smooth thanks to her sour, fruity, and earthy flavors, and despite her relatively modest strength content, she’s quite potent. Even long-time patients have to dial back the dosage when medicating themselves with Blackberry Auto.

The effects hit your brain with light euphoria at first, and then comes a gentle relaxation that leaves you at peace and gives you the munchies before putting you to sleep. No matter how strong your insomnia is, this medicine does the job. We highly recommend this seed for both medical and recreational consumers, especially for lovers of Ind-dominant purple autos.

Banana Purple Punch Auto

One of the strongest autos on the market, Banana Purple Punch is the perfect example of the “great things come in small packages” rule. This seed produces beautiful dark-purple buds with up to 30.4% strength in just 8 weeks.

Banana Purple Punch is super resilient and can produce even during winter – when other seeds struggle – making it foolproof for growers of all levels of expertise who want to get 100% out of it. This is one of two-time American Auto Cup winners and one of Chubbs' favorites, as this plant not only responds well to LST and defoliation with no noticeable setbacks but also offers joyful, profoundly happy effects combined with delicious creamy, strawberry-like, and citrus flavors.

Ztrawberriez Auto

Another purple beauty and another award winner. Ztrawberriez Auto is probably one of the tastiest autos we've created. This sweet combination of two flavorful Cali seeds produces extremely well with very little maintenance, producing some of the sweetest-smelling purplish/pinkish buds with up to 25 % strength.

We highly recommend this seed for every type of smoker, as the nugs burst with berry and creamy aromas and the effects set the perfect mood for Netflix and chill.

Purple Lemonade Auto

It's Fast Buds' staple purple seed, beloved by many in our team. This Ind-leaning hyb has become our bestselling seed line of all time, offering everything you would expect from a top-shelf purple auto – XXL returns, beautiful light-pink and dark-purple hues, and a thick coat of 'frost'.

Besides being a pleasure to grow, Purple Lemonade Auto boasts a unique flavorene profile that tastes just like a plants-infused lemonade with a pinch of diesel flavors. Her powerful stoney high will make you crawl to the nearest couch and stay there for hours, losing track of time.

Lemon Cherry Cookies™

Another of Sebastian’s favorites, Lemon Cherry Cookies™ Auto, grows like it’s turbocharged. If you need to see it to believe it, wel, you can: all of this and more can be seen in his "Grow on the Go" video series. This seed is an absolute joy to cultivate; it’s super easy and resilient and a great example of what modern autos are capable of. Just like the Purple Lemonade Auto, this is a foolproof auto recommended for beginner growers looking to get perfect purple nugs with up to 28.5% strength with minimal maintenance.

The flowers are a deep, deep purple covered in frost and red hairs, making them look picture-perfect, and the smell is sweet and fruity with floral hints, creating a composition that is halfway between a bowl of fruits, cherries at peak ripeness, and a touch of creamy milk. The joyful cerebral buzz combined with powerful and long-lasting relaxation makes you feel like you’re lying on a feathery cloud while eating a bag or red berry candy. In short, it's a plant that everyone should grow at some point in their lives.

Conclusion

Purple seeds are much, much more than just pretty colors. Whether you’re seeking relaxation, pain relief, a burst of creativity, or just that top-shelf bag appeal, we have a purple seed for you!
