The first version landed well. Growers liked it, the feedback was strong, and the seed started getting attention quickly. But from our side, we felt the project could still be better. So instead of leaving Biscotti Gelato as a one-time limited release, we went back to the line and reworked it. During one of the breeding cycles, something unexpected happened. A small number of plants began expressing a completely different flavorene profile from the rest of the population. They still looked like they belonged to the same family, but the aroma immediately stood out.
At first, we couldn't quite describe it.
